Who we are...
Your Tutors
Amy Crankshaw (MA) & Chris Willow (BA.Hons) are both full time professional musicians based in London.
While both enjoy active performance and composition careers they continue to give time and passion music education.

Amy has had her orchestra, chamber and choral compositions performed internationally and was invited to attend the Festival d'Aix-en-Provence as a guest this year. In additional to Amy's compositional work, she's held the principle French horn position in several orchestras.
​
Chris has performed extensively throughout the UK as a guitarist and bass guitarist with various projects. Much of Chris' biggest performances have been centred on music he's written. Examples of such gigs include slots at UK festivals Glastonbury, Secret Garden Party, Guildfest, Lounge on the Farm and many more.

Piano Tuition
​
Amy teaches classical piano for all levels and ages. She has seven years of professional experience which includes taking students through the various graded programs offered by third party examination boards.
Guitar Tuition
​
Chris teaches contemporary guitar to all levels covering many styles such as pop, rock, jazz and blues.
​
He also teachers beginner guitar to all ages which covers the foundational aspects and techniques of the instrument which will provide a great starting point to the student regardless of which stylistic direction they take later on.
​
For more advanced students Chris teaches improvisation to a high level.
Brass Tuition
Amy is a professional French horn player and teachers French horn and trumpet to aspiring brass players.
Music Theory Tuition
​
Music theory is a subject that worries many young musicians, unnecessarily. This need not be the case.
​
We will demystify the subject and give you confidence your your understanding of how music works.
Music Exam Preparation
Focused guidance for your upcoming music exam including: sight-reading, aural, rehearsals with piano accompaniment, improvisation, theory and run throughs.

We can prepare you for exams for any of the major music boards including: ABRSM, Trinity, Trinity Rock & Pop, RockSchool
Composition & Orchestration
If you are an aspiring classical music composer and/or orchestrater we offer expert tuition and mentorship to help you develop the technical proficiency to express your creative impulses in this form.
Songwriting & Arrangement
Chris has written and recorded songs for many projects and offers songwriting and arrangement tuition and mentorship. If you have started writing songs but struggle to finish them, or if you've never written a song but feel the desire to do so we are here to help.
